NHTSA Probe: Ford Bronco, F-150, Explorer ‘Catastrophic EcoBoost Engine Failure’ Swells to Over 700,000

There are certain issues with a number of Ford and Lincoln vehicles that use EcoBoost engines. Ascertain why.

The last stages are being completed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in order to release a broad recall involving a number of Ford and Lincoln automobiles.

This relates to the NHTSA's power loss inquiry for the 2.7 and 3.0 EcoBoost V6 engines, which was started in response to three requests for an investigation.

The complaints state that the EcoBoost engines experience power loss when operating.

As to the petitions, "catastrophic engine failures" result from the power outage.
